Speech Therapy Program

PBM provides free speech training sessions to post operative cleft beneficiaries to correct any speech defects. Training is conducted once a week on individualized tutorial basis to prepare them to get along with their normal peers as part of the preparatory process to formal schooling. It also provides instructional materials to the parents together with a briefing as to how parents will conduct the initial informal education. Parents will be periodically evaluated to determine progress being attained by the program. PBM allocates Php300 per hour per student as fee to the Speech Pathologist. At present, sessions are held at the Speech Clinic every Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday.
